Altercation Equation: Street Fighters

MadHatter Video

In celebration of our 100th episode, we wanted to do something super special – Will versus MadHatter in 100 matches from 100 different fighting games!

Hatter and Will are both fighting game gurus, if you wanna use buzzword bullshit. These dudes have been playing them since they were created (literally), and their knowledge and familiarity within the genre in often unmatched. Beyond that, both of them are absolute beasts.

What better thing to do than pit them against each other?

In this segment, you will see the following brawlers:

WWF WrestleMania: The Arcade Game (Sony Playstation)
Shaq-Fu (SNES)
Rise of the Robots (SNES)
Street Fighter (Arcade)
Street Fighter III 3rd Strike: Fight for the Future (Arcade)
Gundam Battle Assault 2 (Sony Playstation)

Once the entire Altercation Equation is done, the entire run will be posted in a single video and we will announce the release of an awesome, free compilation of fighting game jams by the likes of Mega Ran, Richie Branson, MegaDriver, King Pheenix, Mitch Murder, The Adventures of Duane & BrandO, Dan Bull, and more! Stay tuned!

North & South by Southwest

MadHatter Video

The game? North & South. The players? Richard and Mark.

The venue? SXSW Gaming Expo 2017. That’s right, this episode was recorded LIVE at the Scrub Budz booth at SXSW!

Here to re-enact (or possibly re-write history) in front of everyone in Austin, Texas, it’s a nail-biting, edge-of-your-seat (lawl) retelling of the Civil War – in 8 bit!

North & South was released for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1990, and it’s a game based on a Belgian comic strip made by a French video game company. Hooray, history!

You can find out more about North & South here.

Mappy Land SXSW Gaming Live Episode

MadHatter Video

The game? Mappy-Land. The player? Richard.

The venue? SXSW Gaming Expo 2017. That’s right, this episode was recorded LIVE at the Scrub Budz booth at SXSW!

This has always been a favorite game for Richard, and he was determined to show everyone at SXSW that he was the top mouse cop. He’s never beat the beat before…

Will he RIDE? Or will he DIE?!

In our “Ride or Die” series, one of our members takes a game that they cherish and they attempt to beat it with only the given lives and continues by default. No cuts, no save stats, no re-dos. The result? Delicious victory or crushing defeat.

Mappy-Land was released for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1989, and it features absolutely nothing about police work. It’s about gathering up presents for your lil’ mousy girlfriend!

You can find out more about Mappy-Land here.
